Admission Procedures for the Jackie Husband Stand

The new entrance procedures appear to have achieved their core objectives namely to create a situation which will benefit our core support, season ticket holders and which will also ease access for all other Jags fans coming to Firhill.

Season ticket holders may now enter the stadium through any gate, thus speeding up the process and the elimination of cash turnstiles has had an even more positive impact.

PTFC will, therefore, continue to apply the following procedures:

  • Cash will not be accepted at any of the turnstiles in the Jackie Husband Stand
  • Season ticket holders will continue to be able to access the Jackie Husband Stand through any of the turnstiles
  • Other supporters seeking admission to the JH Stand will require to buy a ticket from either
    • The Main Office - Up to 1130 on match days and up to two hours prior to kick-off for evening fixtures
    • A staffed cash cabin which will be situated outside the rear of the Jackie Husband Stand and will be open from 1130 on match days and from two hours prior to kick-off for evening fixtures
  • The cash cabin will have up to six outlets available for purchase and recipients will receive a ticket valid for any seat in the JH Stand, other than those ticketed as being reserved for season ticket holders.
  • Tickets purchased from the cash cabin will give access to the Jackie Husband Stand through any of the turnstiles

The result of these procedures has been that supporters entering the Jackie Husband Stand encounter fewer queues. Season ticket holders, who comprise 60-70% our attendance in the JH Stand are no longer be held up by delays with cash transactions at any turnstile, nor have they to wait in a lengthy queue to gain access through Season Ticket only gates.

Other supporters have also benefited from the turnstile admission process being slicker.

The Club will continue to monitor and develop systems but it is clear that the procedure has proved to be of significant benefit, particularly to Season Ticket holders but also to all other Jags fans coming to Firhill.
