Partick Thistle Football Club

 Match Preview

Thistle’s pre-season build up continues this evening with a fixture with Stirling Albion at Forthbank.

Earlier today manager Ian McCall was able to provide www.ptfc.co.uk with the latest squad news.

“There’s no real surprises in the squad. Bar long term absentees Alan Archibald and Liam Buchanan everyone is fit and my intention is to try and give everyone a run tonight. Included in the squad will be Simon Lynch who will play his last game as a trialist tonight.”

Although relegated from the First Division last season Stirling caused Thistle a number of problems. From the four games played Thistle won just one, a late goal from Paul Keegan earning Thistle maximum points in a midweek Firhill fixture in March. Two of the other three games ended in 1-1 draws, Simon Donnelly scoring our first goal of last season at Forthbank on the opening day of the season(pictured), with Stirling recording a rare win when Thistle last made the trip through to Stirling in February.

Kick-off tonight is 7:30pm and admission prices have been set at £6 for adults and £4 concessions. The Thistle support will be housed in the East Stand, the traditional away end at Forthbank.
