Partick Thistle Football Club

 Match Preview

After the drama, and no little controversy, of last weekend's Scottish Cup with Dundee United it's back to the search for league points tomorrow when we make our second trip of the season to Stark's Park to face a Raith Rovers side that we are yet to defeat this season.

Before providing us with the team news for this important fixture manager Ian McCall brought www.ptfc.co.uk the news of a couple of departures from Firhill.

"Jim Hamilton is leaving the club by mutual consent and he is considering one or two options that he has open to him. Things didn't work out for Jim at Firhill the way we would all have liked but he leaves the club with our best wishes."

"Also leaving Firhill will be Ricky Little. Ricky has for the last few months be on loan with Queen's Park and he will now be signing for them and will be with them until the end of the season at which point Ricky is going to look at some of the options he has for his future.  Ricky too leaves us with our very best wishes. He is a smashing lad and we've agreed that he can still train at Firhill although he is now a Queen's Park player."

"Elsewhere we are continuing to examine the possibility of sending Paddy Boyle out on loan although he remains part of my long term plans"

"Turning to tomorrow's fixture we are pretty well of in terms of injuries. Martyn Corrigan with a thumb injury and Stephen McKeown with his hamstring injury should be our only absentees tomorrow. Clearance for Greg Shields has now come through and he is added to the squad as is Ryan Conroy our new loan signing from Celtic."
