Partick Thistle Football Club

 Irn Bru Youth Development Award

Wednesday 22nd April 2009

Players back the Irn Bru Campaign for fans to win the club £7,000 and first place in Irn Bru Youth Development Award.

Kris Doolan "Before coming to Thistle I was a community football coach with Kilmarnock teaching young children about football. It's important to learn good habits at a young age that's why football development in clubs is so important to the club and the player. Great to hear the Thistle fans are voting to win the club the first prize in Irn Brus competition. £7,000 can make a difference to Thistle's youth development."

Gary Harkins "Youth Development is the backbone of any club, getting it right from a young age is important to a player development. I was lucky enough to have my YT training at Blackburn. It's fantastic Irn Bru are helping every division with the Youth Award money and it's great to see we are top of the first division and on course for the £7,000. Our fans are tremendous and I'm sure every one of them will be texting to help us win it. You only have to look at guys like Ricky Little and Ryan MacBeth to see our Youth system is working, the money can help us make it stronger"

If you've already voted thank you please keep voting as every vote counts and it could get us £7,000 and help Thistle create a home grown star.
