Partick Thistle Football Club - Centenary Fund Clarification
Last week a letter was sent to Season Ticket holders outlining draft proposals for the launch of a Centenary Fund to mark the 100th anniversary of the club's move from Partick to Firhill and which will replace the Club Lottery and the Players Fund.
Regrettably the version of the letter which was sent out was not the final version and contained several references to Jags Trust involvement in the promotion of the Fund.
Whilst it is the position of the board of Partick Thistle that it would welcome the involvement and support of the Jags Trust in ensuring the success of the Centenary Fund and whilst informal discussions have been held between members of the two boards on the subject, these are only at a preliminary stage.
It is to be hoped that the Jags Trust can be convinced that supporting the Centenary Fund and participating in it is the best way of assisting in securing the future of Partick Thistle Football Club and further meetings between respective board members are planned. In the meantime we apologise for any confusion which has arisen by the release of our letter and any embarrassment caused to the Jags Trust which was entirely unintentional.
Full details of the Centenary Fund and how to join will be released shortly and a webpage is under construction which will keep all our fans updated on future developments.
