A second successive 2-0 defeat spelled a miserable end to 2008 for Thistle.
Thistle were undone by two set pieces at Cappielow this evening. After opening brightly Thistle fell behind in the 16th minute when Steven Masterton fired a 20 yard free kick from the corner of the penalty box past Tuffey and high into the net.
Stephen McKeown and David Rowson had decent chances to equalise but a Peter Weatherson header from a corner on 64 minutes secured a deserved win for the home side.
