Partick Thistle 2, Airdrie United 1
Saturday 13th December 2008
Thistle recorded their fourth successive home win when they came from a goal down to record a 2-1 win.
Thistle fell behind in the 13th minute when Simon Lynch pounced upon a Willie Kinniburgh error to opening the scoring.
It took Thistle just five minutes to get on level terms. Mark Roberts threaded the ball through to Gary Harkins who lobbed the ball over Robertson for an outstanding goal.
Thistle were the dominate team for the majority of the game but the winning goal came from an Airdrie United player Scott McLaughlin fired a Marc Twaddle cross past his own keeper.
As the game neared a conclusion Robertson denied firstly Kevin McKinlay and then Simon Donnelly as Thistle sought a third goal but despite not getting it and the slightly fortuitous second goal Thistle were still well worth the points.
