 Partick Thistle New Writers

Thursday 11th December 2008

In partnership with our local Secondary Schools we are offering a unique opportunity to be a Match reporter for the day.

Pupils will have the chance to write a Match report of a Champions League Final which will take place at Hampden Park May 2009.

The finalists will be Partick Thistle (of course) and a designated team for each School the opposition Teams will be Real Madrid , Barcelona, Liverpool, Chelsea, Manchester United ,AC Milan and Villareal.

In order to make it realistic the only pre-condition of the report is that Partick Thistle must win and the teams will be from current squads.

Each school will judge their winner who will be invited to be a Reporter for the day at PTFC for a home match. The winner will have an exclusive press pass for the game and access to players/manager interviews post match. The writer's match report will then be put on the official website and their School Website.

The winners from each School will be entered into a final and entries judged by Brian Welsh of The Big Partnership, Bert Mitchell of the Evening Times and Robert Reid.

The winner of the final will get the once in a lifetime chance to cover an away fixture as the Clubs Official Reporter which included travelling on Partick Thistle's team bus and entry as an Official Thistle Programme Reporter, their Match Report will be put on the Club Website.
