It was a good day yesterday for the Thistle under 19 and 17 teams.
The under 19s were in action against Dundee at McKenna Park and recorded a comfortable 4-0 win. Scott Tully, Alan Vezza, Ryan Macbeth and Kenny Hogg were the Jags that were on target.
The under 17s meantime enjoyed an even more emphatic victory. The long trip down to Stranraer proved to be more than worthwhile with Thistle running out 7-0 victors. Garry Sweeney scored twice with Marc Green, Darryl Still with a penalty, Andy Dunbar, Jonathon Baxter and Kyle Lochhead also among the goals.
The under 19 and under 17 leagues now go into cold storage until January 11th but the Thistle under 17s have one re-arranged fixture to play before then. This coming Wednesday (December 17th) they face Dunfermline Athletic at Lesser Hampden. Kick-off on Wednesday is 8pm.
