Malawi Collection - Jordanhill School
Friday 20th February 2009
In June of this year a group of 30 Scottish teenagers from Jordanhill School will be travelling to Malawi to help the local communities in a number of projects.
The plans currently include helping to build an extension to an orphanage and helping and supporting children in what is one of the poorest countries in the world. They will also be distributing gifts, books, footballs, etc and funds to help the communities.
The group has already run a number of fund raising activities to support the project including coffee mornings, ceilidhs, dances, bag packing and raffles.
At Firhill on Saturday 21st Feb a collection is being organised before the Partick Thistle FC v Morton FC match to help raise further funds the project.
