Stuck for something to do this weekend?
Friday 6th February 2009
No Jags game this weekend, stuck for something to fill your weekend?
As some of you may be aware, the Partick Thistle fan base is alive and well in the Glasgow music scene. From the lead singer of Figure 5, to the guitarist in The Rudiments, two of the biggest Mod bands in our city are flying the Jags colours.
A few months ago, a couple of our fans set up the "Firhill Music Collective". A free event, run to encourage the Glasgow music crowd along to Firhill after the gigs they had hosted on a Saturday lunchtime. Unfortunately this was not as successful as was hoped.
However, one of the FMC team is back and keeping the name alive. Dave Johnston has been invited to guest DJ at tonight's "Mis-Shapes" night. This will be Dave's second guest DJ slot after a successful baptism on Boxing Day night.
The event is held on the first Friday of every month in Bar Bia on West Regent Street, a pub, some of you may be aware of as it is run by a die hard Jag, Lee Watson.
So if you love a Friday night on the town and love dancing to the 90's Britpop scene, why not pop along and give Dave, MIs-Shapes and Bar Bia a Jags Support. Jags Scarfs are welcome, as long as you're dressed in style.
Hopefully we'll see you there, in your red n yellow dancing shoe's.
