Damon Gray Returns to Hibs
Monday 19th January 2009
Although he has spent the last few weeks back at Easter Road being treated for his knee injury, Damon Gray's loan stint at Firhill officially came to an end today.
Commenting after this evening's reserve game manager Ian McCall had this to say;
"We would like to thank Damon for his efforts and contribution during his two loan spells at Firhill. Although his form took a dip earlier this season had it not been for his injury he would have had further opportunities to impress. All at Firhill hope that he makes a full recovery from his knee injury and we wish him every success for the future."
Across his two loan spells at Firhill Damon played a total of 24 times for Thistle and scored 8 goals. The most memorable of those 8 goals was unquestionably his strike that gave Thistle an all too brief lead against Rangers in last season's Scottish Cup. His brace of goals on his full debut against Clyde during the course of 4-1 success at Broadwood is also worthy of mention.
