Loan Signing Confirmed

Yesterday as part of the Queen of the South preview here on www.ptfc.co.uk manager Ian McCall confirmed that Thistle were trying to land Hamilton Accies' Lucas Akins (pictured today) on loan until the end of May.
We are delighted to report, therefore, that after training this morning the paperwork was completed on that loan transfer and Lucas goes straight into the squad for tomorrow's fixture at Queen of the South.
19 year old Lucas, he reaches the ripe old age of 20 next month, started his career with Huddersfield Town.
Lucas was just 17 when he made his debut for Huddersfield in a fixture against Northampton Town in April 2007 and in total made 6 appearances for Huddersfield, all as a substitute.
Last season Lucas had a loan spell with Blue Square Conference outfit Northwich Victoria, scoring once in ten appearance across a three month loan stint.
During the summer Lucas moved north of the border when he joined Hamilton on a two year contract and prior to his temporary switch to Firhill had played 13 times for Accies this season.
