Queen's Park Reserves 0, Partick Thistle Reserves 3
Monday 12th January 2009
Despite fielding a relatively inexperienced side the Thistle Reserves still cantered to a 3-0 win at Lesser Hampden this evening.
New boy Kris Doolan got the ball rolling when he won a challenge with the Queen's Park keeper to head Thistle into the lead. Steven Lennon grabbed Thistle's second goal after being set up by Graeme Eaglesham before half-time.
There was just one further goal in the second half with Doolan again on target after a cut back from Graeme Eaglesham. Doolan could even have had a hat-trick only for his effort to be ruled out for offside.
This was an all round solid performance from Thistle with Ricky Little, Pedram Ardalany and Kris Doolan all producing fine performances.
Team: Hinchcliffe, Vezza, McGeough (McDermott), M Robertson, Little, Ardalany, MacBeth (Middlemiss), McStay, Eaglesham, Lennon (Tully), Doolan.
