Under 19s Win/Reserve Fixture Tonight
Monday 12th January 2009
While the Thistle first team had a disappointing weekend the under 19s had an altogether more successful weekend.
Yesterday afternoon they matched the feat of their first team counterparts eight days earlier, right down to the final scoreline, by recording a 4-2 away win against Clyde.
Scott Tully bagged a double with Philip Middlemiss and Jordan Clelland accounting for the two other Thistle goals.
Next Sunday the under 19s will face Montrose at McKenna Park with a 2pm kick-off while the under 17 side travel to Firs Park to face East Stirling. Kick-off for that fixture is still to be confirmed.
You can catch some of the under 19s in action prior to next weekend though as the under 19 side will comprise the bulk of the Thistle squad that will face Queen's Park in a Reserve League Cup tie at Lesser Hampden this evening. The Jags squad is bolstered by the presence of Kris Doolan, who made his Thistle debut at Inverness on Saturday, and Ryan McStay. Kick-off this evening is 7:30pm.
