Thistle's interest in this season's Reserve League Cup is at an end.
Requiring a single point from their final sectional fixture to reach the last four they went down to a 2-0 defeat this evening against Clyde at Broadwood. A victory that sees Clyde rather than Thistle reach the next stage of the competition.
Thistle fell behind against the run of play in the 20th when Clyde opened the scoring with a deflected shot.
That advantage was doubled in the 75th minute via free kick all but ending Thistle's interest in the Reserve League Cup.
