Partick Thistle Football Club

 Reserve and Youth Fixtures

Monday 16th March 2009

The Thistle Reserve team play their final Reserve League Cup - West Section fixture tomorrow evening at Broadwood. Kick-off tomorrow evening is 7:30pm.

This should be an interesting fixture with both Thistle and Clyde capable of progressing through to the last four of this season's Reserve League Cup. A point for Thistle will be sufficient to ease The Jags through to the last four while Clyde require to win to maintain their interest in the competition.

Queen's Park have already secured their berth in the semi-final via the West Section. In the East Section, from the most recent league table publicised, Cowdenbeath, Arbroath, Dunfermline and Ross County all still have a chance of filling the two semi-final spots on offer.

The league season may have finished for both the Thistle under 19 and under 17 sides but their respective League Cup competitions are due to get underway this weekend.

The under 19s have been drawn in section 2 alongside Ayr United, Dumbarton, East Stirling and Morton. They have a free week this weekend with their first fixture a home game with Dumbarton scheduled for w/c 29/03.

The under 17s meantime have been drawn into section 3 where they will meet Morton, Queen's Park and Stirling Albion and are scheduled to meet the latter of that trio away from home this coming Sunday.

Ahead of that fixture they face Morton in a friendly at Battery Park, Greenock on Wednesday night. That fixture kicks off at 6:15pm.
