Thistle's promotion hopes are over. With St Johnstone defeating Morton the result from Firhill was rendered immaterial but it was still disappointing to lose the game right at the death and in controversial circumstances.
There was no flag for offside as Airdrie United broke and when a cross from the right left Simon Lynch with the simple task of knocking the ball home from about a yard out.
