The Under-19s returned to winning ways when they defeated Cowdenbeath 5-1 at McKenna Park, courtesy of goals from Ryan MacBeth, who is just back from an injury, with a double each from Sean Maguire and Philip Middlemiss.

The Under-17s were held for a draw at Beith Juniors, 3-3 with Montrose. Montrose opened the scoring, before Darryl Still ran down the wing, cut the ball back to Kieran Burns and he slid the ball by the keeper, to equalise. Montrose then took the lead again, leaving the boys going in at half-time 2-1 down.

Into the second half, and an excellent equaliser from Darryl Still. Kieran Burns, this time turned provider, when he chipped the ball over to Darryl, he cut inside and placed the ball in the far corner.

Marc Green then, for the first time, gave Thistle the lead when Garry Sweeney played the ball through the middle, his first shot was saved and he scored from the rebound. However, the draw was on the cards when Scott Hodge deflected a shot past Ryan Scully.

This coming Sunday, the 19s have a free week and the 17s are away to Clyde, details to follow.

The 17s have tied up a friendly this Wednesday (26th) against St Mirren at Ferguslie Park Sports Centre with an 8.30pm kick-off.
