The Under-17s faced Alloa Athletic at Recreation Park yesterday, and came back from 3-1 down to level the scores at 3-3, earning a well-deserved point.

Alloa scored first when a shot from outside the box went straight down the middle into the goal. Thistle replied with a free-kick that was curled round the wall by Darryl Still, and Jamie Campbell flicked it with the outside of his boot into the net. 1-1 at half time.

Alloa then netted twice, looking to put the game beyond the young Jags, but a free-kick from Darryl Still hit the bar, and the rebound fell to Garry Sweeney who volleyed it in off the post. Our equaliser came from yet another free-kick, Kyle Lochhead over the top of the defence, and Kieran Burns ran in and beat the keeper at the near post.

Meanwhile, the Under-19s were defeated 2-0 at Glenhead Park, Duntocher to Dumbarton

This Sunday (23rd), both teams are at home. The Under-19s will entertain Cowdenbeath at McKenna Park with a 2.00pm kick-off, while the 17s host Montrose at Beith Juniors, also a 2.00pm kick-off.
