Jag Heads Out on Loan
Friday 17th October 2008
Following on from defender Ricky Little's successful loan spell at Queen's Park, which was extended for a further month earlier this week, another young Thistle player has taken a temporary leave from Firhill.
Striker Graeme Eaglesham today joined Third Division Albion Rovers on loan for a month, he will remain at Cliftonhill until November 16th, and goes straight into Rovers manager Paul Martin's squad for their visit to Forfar Athletic tomorrow.
Graeme made his Thistle debut, the first of two substitute appearances last season, in April this year against Stirling Albion at Firhill. After coming off the bench Graeme set up Paul Keegan for Thistle's late winner.
Although Graeme hasn't featured in the Thistle first team this season he is highly regarded by the coaching staff at Firhill and it is felt that a month playing first team football for Albion Rovers will benefit his career more than the occasional reserve game at Firhill.
