Tuffey Called Up

Congratulations are once again extended to goalkeeper Jonny Tuffey on his inclusion in the Northern Ireland squad for their World Cup qualifiers against Slovenia and San Marino.
The match with Slovenia is on Saturday October 11th with the San Marino fixture at Windsor Park on Wednesday October 15th.
Jonny’s inclusion will, of course, mean that he will miss out Alba Challenge Cup Semi-Final tie with Airdrie United but all at Firhill are delighted that Jonny continues to be recognised by his country at international level.
Tuffey, who joined Thistle from Coventry City in May 2006, has made 62 first team appearances in his time at Firhill as he develops into a top class goalkeeper.
Thistle have had a reputation of producing excellent goalkeepers with Kenny Campbell, Johnny Jackson, John McCorkindale, Alan Rough and Nicky Walker all being capped for Scotland while keeping goal for Partick Thistle.
In addition Tommy Ledgerwood, Craig Nelson and most recently Kenny Arthur have been capped by Scotland at B or Futures level.
