A Busy Day To Look Forward To Tomorrow.

Friday 30th April 2010

It’s that time of the year again when we bid farewell to the old season, and look towards the next. As part of the farewell, we have a number of events taking place around the game itself that will hopefully add to the “final day” atmosphere. Just before the game, the youth team players, including the under-19’s, who will be playing in the SFL Youth Cup semi-final on Sunday, will be paraded before the fans, accompanied by a pipe band, so let’s all wish the guys the best of luck against Airdrie Utd. Youths. We have a full house in the hospitality suite, so as a reminder for folk considering taking up places next season, the guests tomorrow will be treated to a champagne reception, formal welcome by the Club Director, an optional tour of the stadium or “Board Room Banter” by our historian Robert Reid, a four-course lunch, and entertainment by renowned comedian Eddie Devine. At half time, guests will receive tea & snacks, then after the game, they’ll meet the game’s “man of the match” and present the awards to him, along with match ball sponsorship awards.

Fans in the stand won’t go without either. There will be a special “sing-a-long” event during the interval, so hopefully we’ll all be in a singing mood with a half time lead.

After the match, all fans who sponsored players shirts and boots are requested to be in the foyer of the Aitken Suite at 6pm, where they can receive their goods from the players themselves between 6 and 7pm, and have their photo taken as a further momento. This will take place in the boardroom and the players zone room (unfortunately, the kids zone will not be available for this reason).

The final event of the day is, of course, the Jags Trust Player of the Year event, which will begin at 8pm in the Aitken Suite. Tickets will be available for purchase from the Warriors shop in the Jackie Husband Stand concourse prior to kick off, tickets priced at £5.

All we need is a win for the ideal send off to season 2009-10, and to end the season on a high note.

On behalf of the players, management, board and staff of Partick Thistle, we would like to thank you for your support this season, and hope to see you all back in the Autumn.
