Boyle and Doolan Back From Loan
Thursday 1st April 2010
As expected both Kris Doolan and Paddy Boyle have returned from their loan spells with Second Division Clyde.
Said manager Ian McCall to www.ptfc.co.uk earlier this morning;
"We have brought them back to have a look at them ahead of next season and because we are a little low in terms of numbers at the moment. They'll both be in the squad for Saturday's trip to Airdrie United."
As Kris and Paddy return to Firhill there was some disappointing news with regard to the extent of Alan Archibald's injury as the manager explains;
"We had thought that Alan would need no more than a wee tidy up on his knee but it turns out that it is a bit more serious than that. Alan looks set to be out for 4-5 months which is a big blow and indicative of the way things have been going for us in the last month or so. Knowing Alan he will be back stronger than ever and the only good thing is that a chunk of his period out coincides with the close season. If we can get him back running in August and September then he may miss no more than 6 weeks of next season. We aren't though setting Alan any targets we just want him back fit and healthy whenever that may be."
