Partick Thistle Football Club

Ross County 1, Partick Thistle 2

Saturday 24th April 2010

Thistle came from behind to collect three points and make some amends for recent disappointments.

This was anything but a dull end of season affair with countless chances at both ends. Both sides struck the frame of the goal and Bryn Halliwell in goal for Thistle produced a string of fantastic saves.

He had to admit defeat in the 56th minute when Paul Di Giacomo opened the scoring but Simon Donnelly had Thistle level 2 minutes later with his tenth goal of the season.

The winner, when it arrived in the 73rd minute, was an absolute cracker started and finished by Martin Grehan who scored his first goal in the Thistle colours.

There were near things at either end before the finish but Thistle clung on for a welcome three points.
