Stephen McKeown Released

On Saturday the paperwork was completed on Stephen McKeown's release from Partick Thistle.
Said manager Ian McCall;
"Stephen has been released from his contract with Partick Thistle but we have invited him to join us for pre-season training. Stephen has been feeling increasingly frustrated with the series of injuries that he has had, especially as never really suffered from injury before joining Thistle. He feels that as soon as he builds up any head of steam he picks up yet another injury."
"As I said we have invited Stephen in for pre-season training. I do genuinely believe that Stephen is among the best players in the First Division in his role when he is fit. Before injury blighted his time at Firhill he made a tremendous contribution for us with his goal against Rangers in the cup and his strike against Dunfermline last season really sticking in the mind."
