Youth Team Results

The Thistle under 19 side this afternoon kicked off their SFL Under 19 Youth Cup campaign with a 2-1 win over Dumbarton earlier today.
It proved to be a special afternoon for Kieran Burns. Turning out less than 24 hours following his father's death it was Kieran that opened the scoring for Thistle. The reaction from Kieran's team mates and coaching staff to his goal was a genuinely touching moment and is an indication of a great sense of togetherness with this group of players.
Thistle's other goal in the 2-1 win was scored by Stuart Bannigan.
Also in action today were our under 16 and under 14 sides, both of whom faced Alloa.
The under 16s went down to a 3-1 defeat but there was better news for the under 14s who ran out 5-3 winners.
