Season Tickets

The first home game of the season is upon us and I am delighted to report that receipts from season ticket sales are more than £10000 up on last year.

The board took a decision to increase the price of season tickets for the first time in a number of years and it is especially pleasing that so many of our fans have demonstrated their continuing support by renewing their tickets. I am certain that this is in no small way down to the manager’s decision to sign a new three year contract and if the players show the same passion and dedication that our manager and fans have displayed we will be able to look forward to the coming season with great expectation.

Centenary Fund (Half Way There!)

After the marvellous uptake in membership which we experienced immediately after the launch of the Fund in January, it was only natural that the rate of growth would slow down.

That said, the amount of additional revenue from new members joining is averaging between £1000 and £2000 per month so that the net contribution to club funds and indirectly the playing budget is now running at circa £50000 per annum. That means we are half way towards achieving our overall target of having a fundraising activity generating £100000 per annum. This again underlines the level of support that the club receives from its loyal fans.

Membership of the fund allows every fan the opportunity to get behind the team financially and contribute to putting a successful team on the park. If you have not already joined please consider doing so and help the club reach its target. Remember, there are monthly prizes to be won and every person who is a member and has made a payment during the month of September will be in the draw for the Citroen car which takes place in October. Membership forms are available on line or from the club offices.

Loving Cup and Civic Dinner

The club is the recipient of two major awards from the City of Glasgow in this the hundredth anniversary of our move from Partick to Maryhill.

Earlier this year we were awarded the Loving Cup which is the gift of the City and is given to ‘any person or group who has brought distinction and honour to Glasgow’. This is a reflection not only of the good work which has been done by the directors, staff and management of the club in fostering community relations over many years but also on each and every one of our fans who conduct themselves in an exemplary manner both home and away and who are a credit to the club and the City of Glasgow.

On 19 September 2009 the club is being honoured with a Civic Dinner in the City Chambers to mark the occasion of the Centenary of Firhill Stadium. As a thank you to our fans a number of places at this dinner have been set aside by the club and will be allocated shortly. If you would like to be considered for a place at the dinner please send an email to mail@ptfc.co.uk or fax Antonia Kerr at 0141 945 1525. Season Ticket holders and Centenary Fund members will be given priority although anyone interested should apply.
