Thistle recorded their first league win of the season in emphatic fashion against a hapless Morton side.
Liam Buchanan fired Thistle in front after 25 minutes and two Mark Corcoran goals had the game all but won by half-time.
Paul Cairney made it 4-0 in the 66th minute before Morton's Stewart Greacen saw red for a dreadful late challenge on Chris Erskine.
With ten minutes remaining Liam Buchanan brought Thistle's tally up to five before a goal line clearance denied him a richly deserved hat-trick.
