Under-19 result
Monday 31st August 2009
The Under-19s certainly put their two league defeats, against Cowdenbeath and Ross County, behind them when they served up a 9 goal thriller defeating Elgin City, at Beith Juniors.
First-half goals from Ryan MacBeth, Jamie Campbell, Kyle Lochhead, Shaun Fraser and two from Scott Tully gave the young Jags a 6-0 lead.
Scott Tully made it 7 to complete his hat-trick, before Colin Stevenson and Stuart Bannigan increased the scoreline.
Coach Ian Cameron spoke to www.ptfc.co.uk after the game "This was a well deserved and obviously well needed win. It gives the boys a boost after two defeats and hopefully we can build on this".
The 19s are due to face Livingston on Sunday 6th, but due to the first-team Challenge Cup game, we are looking to switch this, more details to follow.
