 Kinniburgh Goes Out on Loan

Thursday 24th December 2009

In the Match Preview for the Boxing Day fixture with Queen of the South manager Ian McCall made mention of the fact that once the January transfer window opened there would be some departures from Firhill.

Today we can confirm the first of those to be leaving Firhill, although in this case it is just a temporary switch.

On January 1st central defender Willie Kinniburgh will be joining Second Division Clyde on loan for the remainder of the 2009/2010 season.

This though doesn't signal the end of Willie's time at Firhill as in addition to agreeing a temporary transfer to Clyde he has also signed a contract extension that will keep him at Firhill until May 2011.

We wish Willie well in his time with Clyde when he joins them in the New Year and look forward to welcoming back into the fold in time for the start of next season.
