It was a disappointing afternoon for Thistle and Dundee consolidated their position at the top of the league with a 2-0 win.
Thistle had been the better team in the first half. Lovell and McKeown missed good chances and Corcoran brought out an excellent save from Douglas.
It was Dundee though that went in at the break ahead when McMenamin prodded home in the 44th minute.
A Gary Harkins goal three minutes after the restart sealed the points and although Thistle tried to the finish there was no way through a well organised Dundee defence.
