85 mins: Thistle don't deserve to lose this match but it is difficult to see where the equaliser is going to come from.

82 mins: Simon Donnelly and Jackie McNamara nearly combine to create an opening but McNamara is crowded out before he can return a pass to Donnelly.

79 mins: Play moves to the other end and a Harkins shot shaves Tiuffey's left hand post.

78 mins: A Chris Erskine shot but straight at Douglas.

76 mins: Thistle corner. Conroy as always to take it. Deep one this time away from the keeper but headed clear.

75 mins: Change for Dundee. McMenamin on for Hutchinson. Good - he's never caused us any problems.

74 mins: Eddie Malone collects the game's first yellow card.

73 mins: A mazy Harkins run takes him deep into the Thistle box but Alan Archibald hacks clear his cross.

71 mins: Final change for Thistle Stephen McKeown comes on for Paul Cairney.

70 mins: An Eric Paton snap shot is about a yard over the Thistle bar.

69 mins: Thistle corner. Conroy once more to take. Easy take for Douglas.

67 mins: Chris Erskine getting ready to come on. He replaces Bryan Hodge.

64 mins: A great cross from the left from Ryan Conroy that Steve Lovell can't quite get on the end of.

61 mins: Dundee corner. Harkins takes it. Thistle clear but Dundee keep the pressure on which only relents when Griffiths shoots high over the bar.

59 mins: The home side are not a happy lot as manager Scott receives a lecture from the referee. They are still winning though.

58 mins: Thistle corner on the right. Conroy to take it. Cleared but only as far as Conroy who returns the ball to the box where Alan Archibald has a wild swipe at the ball.

56 mins: Greg Shields does well to deny Griffiths a chance to cross with the home fans becoming increasingly restless.

51 mins: Thistle set for a change. Simon Donnelly coming on for Liam Buchanan.

48 mins: Dundee nearly start the second half with a killer goal. Griffiths sets up Hutchinson but his shot with Tuffey looking beaten is wide of goal.

Dundee kick the second half off. No changes from either team.

The level of Thistle's work rate has been fantastic. They have been pressing Dundee all over the park and forcing them into mistakes. Plenty of near things in and around the Dundee goal as well but the all too familiar story against Dundee this season is a Dundee half-time lead.

HALF-TIME

45 mins: Into first-half injury time.

41 mins: Lovell again is able to get on the end of a long ball forward but he is stretching when he has a shot and the ball clears the bar.

34 mins: Ryan Conroy wins Thistle a corner. It goes near post and Archibald's shot is blocked. Arrgghh.

28 mins: If we were looking for a lucky break that wasn't it. After a challenge on Douglas Buchanan rolls the ball in the net but play is halted for a foul on the Dundee keeper.

27 mins: A great move involving Hodge and Buchanan ends with Cairney sending a shot wide. There aere appeals for a corner but the game restarts with a goal kick.

26 mins: It's a Dundee corner and a confident take from Jonny Tuffey.

23 mins: Paul Cairney sets up Bryan Hodge at the edge of the box and Hodge's shot isn't too far off target.

20 mins: Does this sound familiar? Not much wrong with the Thistle performance, chances missed and Dundee winning.

18 mins: Paul Cairney tries a shot from fully 30 yards. Dougals saves but doesn't hold but there is nonody to take advantage of the loose ball. Another half chance for Thistle.

13 mins: A long ball puts Lovell clear but his shot is blocked. A good chance and the type we must take.

12 mins: Thistle's first corner. Conroy on the right to take it. It's a good one but so is Douglas' catch.

11 mins: A neat ball plays from Paul Cairney plays in Liam Buchanan but before the Thistle fans get excited up goes the flag. A tight decision.

9 mins: A decent Hodge cross finds no takers.

8 mins: Dundee corner. Harkins goes across to take. It's headed down but Klimpl's shot is too high.

6 mins: GOAL DUNDEE The start we didn't want. After Tuffey does well to punch clear a cross the ball drops to Eric Paton and his, deflected shot, finds the back of the net.

5 mins: Great early chance for Thistle. McNamara's free kick is met by the head of Alan Archibald. Archibald's reaction says it all as his header is wide of target.

Looks like three centre backs, Robertson, Archibald and Shields tucked in behind.

After a minute's applause in the memory of Dundee legend Bobby Cox we will shortly be under way at Dens Park. Thistle to kick off and they will be shooting towards the Thistle fans in the first half.

PRE-MATCH NEWS: As expected Jackie McNamara makes his Thistle debut in this fixture but there are further changes to the side that defeated Airdrie United. Paul Paton, Greg Shields and Steve Lovell all return to the starting eleven and there is a place on the bench for Stephen McKeown.
