Thistle returned to winning ways with a 2-0 win over Airdrie United in an eventful match.
It took a little time to warm up but Paul Cairney put Thistle in front in the 29th minute with the same player doubling Thistle's advantage 4 minutes before the break.
Airdrie made a real fight of it after the break with chances at both ends. In an afternoon of curious refereeing decisions both teams finished the game with ten men. Airdrie's Alan Trouten picking up a second yellow card for taking a free kick before the referee was ready and Thistle's David Rowson following him for a second yellow minutes later.
