90 mins+: Airdrie have a corner deep in inuury time. Cleared.

90 mins: Liam Buchanan lays the ball on a plate for Paul Paton but Paton doesn't make contact with the ball.

88 mins: David Rowson is sent off. Referee MacDonald having a strange afternoon.

85 mins: An Airdrie free kick a few yards ouside the box. Trouten takes it scores but the referee hadn't blown his whistle. Trouten is shown a second yellow card and off he goes. It's hard not to have sympathy for the Airdrie player.

81 mins: Chris Erskine earns Thistle a corner. Conroy to take it. Robertson wins the header but Airdrie clear.

80 mins: Thistle make their final change with Paul Paton coming on for Bryan Hodge.

78 mins;:Buchanan can't quite make contact with a Ryan Conroy cross.

76 mins: Tuffey saves Thistle's bacon with a fine save from, I think, Parratt.

75 mins: Keegan comes on for Lagana as Airdrie make their final change.

71 mins: It's an Airdrie corner. Tuffey punches clear but although it looks as if he is fouled there is no free kick.

70 mins: We are at a cruical stage of the game. A third Thistle goal and the points will surely be safe. An Airdrie goal meantime and it would be game on again.

67 mins: You don't get much closer to a goal. Liam Buchanan sets up Steve Lovell. His shot hits the inside of the post before rolling across the goal line.

64 mins: Paul Cairney pushes the ball to Erskine but the ball is a little behind him and he can only scoop the ball over the bar.

63 mins: Alan Archibald does well to clear as Airdrie again pose the the Thistle defence problems.

61 mins: A couple of changes for Thistle with Chris Erskine coming on for Mark Corcoran and Steve Lovell for Simon Donnelly. 

58 mins: The referee is angering both sets of supporters as Simon Donnelly is lectured on, well we don't know quite what.

56 mins: A great challenge from Corrigan halts the progress of Gemmill. Gemmill picks up a yellow card when he hits the ground. To say the least a highly curious decision.

55 mins: Airdrie have made a good start to the second half with sub Gemmill causing the Thistle defence some problems.

53 mins: Lagana is in some pain as a Bryan Hodge clearance catches him a place meant only to be treated nicely. Meantime Airdrie have a corner. Followed by another.

52 mins: Paul Cairney charges into the box but eventually looses his footing.

50 mins: Airdrie very unfortunate not to get a penalty. David Rowson appeared to barge Gemmill to the ground. Their is a further luck escape when Alan Trouten sends a good chance wide of goal.

46 mins: Airdrie corner.

Double switch for Airdrie at the break. Trouten and Gemmill are the men coming on and McCann and McDonald the men that have been replaced. We're under way again.

It's not been a classic display from Thistle but the lead is well deserved all the same and after recent results that is the all important thing. Thistle having good reason to be thankful that Paul Cairney passed a morning fitness test.

HALF-TIME

45 mins: Into first half injury time.

44 mins: With a third Thistle goal looking likely Liam Buchanan is a little harshly adjudged to have tugged an Airdrie defender and play is halted for an Airdrie free kick.

41 mins: GOAL THISTLE It's a second for Paul Cairney. After collecting a pass from Mark Corcoran he turns sharply and buries a low shot into the corner of the net.

38 mins: Bryan Hodge is a little late in with a challenge and collects a yellow card. A little soft.

34 mins: Airdrie are a fraction away from an equaliser. Marc Smyth comes forward and smacks a shot off the Thistle bar with the ball bouncing clear.

29 mins: GOAL THISTLE. David Rowson and Liam Buchanan exchange passes. Robertson can't hold Buchanan's shot and Cairney bundles the ball over the line.

25 mins: Thistle have a free kick, Tom Parratt collecting a yellow card for his sins, right in front of goal on the edge of the Airdrie box. Four players over the ball. Conroy takes it and it is only a fraction the wrong side of the post. The closest yet to a goal.

23 mins: Paul Lovering falls over, throws a tantrum and the crowd comes to life for the first time.

22 mins: It's not been great stuff by any stretch of the imagination. Thistle starting to press a little but Robertson hasn't be pressed into any serious work thus far.

18 mins: Mark Corcoran earns Thistle a corner. Conroy takes it but it is headed clear.

15 mins: A long range Ricky Waddell shot is well off target.

12 mins: Tom Parratt cuts inside but his low shot is well saved by Jonny Tuffey. It's still the first shot on target of a very low key first 12 minutes.

11 mins: Ryan Conroy delivers an excellent free kick from the right hand side but despite Thistle appeals there is no corner when the ball is cleared.
