Paul Cairney and Steve Lovell

Yesterday the Primary 5 pupils of Auchinairn Primary School were treated to a visit by 2 of Thistle’s current first team players, Paul Cairney and Steve Lovell.
It started with a lively question & answer session to the guys, with the group of 8 & 9 year-olds asking varied and interesting questions ranging from what their biggest opponents were, right up to what cars they drive, and even a classic from TV’s “Soccer AM”, “Who’s the longest in the shower”, which put Paul and Steve hilariously on the back foot for an answer.
In fact, such was the enthusiasm shown by the youngsters, Paul and Steve then happily took part in an impromptu kickabout in the school gym hall (pictured below).
The club would like to thank Paul & Steve, the teachers of Auchinairn Primary School, and especially the kids of Primary 5 for their enthusiasm, not to mention the entertainment factor of their questions.
