 Reserves Hit Six

Tuesday 16th February 2010

The Thistle reserves were in action against Stranraer at Stair Park in their latest Reserve League Cup tie and ran out easy 6-1 winners. Chris Erskine notched a hat-trick with Steve Lovell, Ryan MacBeth and a trialist also on target.

That results keeps Thistle chances of reaching the semi-final of the competition alive. With the top two from the West Section qualifying to meet the top two from the East Section in the last four, tonight's win takes Thistle to within one point of Stenhousemuir, who are currently sitting in second place, with each team still having three games to play. The current league leaders are Annan Athletic who have yet to lose a game.
