Under-19 Victory
Monday 1st February 2010
The Under-19s travelled to Carrick Academy in Maybole to face Ayr United, and came away, yet again, with a very impressive 5-1 scoreline, despite going one down early on.
For the second game in a row, Kieran Burns notched a hat-trick, making it 9 goals in 4 games for the young apprentice.
Colin Stevenson, again outstanding in defence, played a good through ball to Kieran who had a great first touch to set himself up and cooly put by the Ayr keeper. His second came from a lovely build up before he hit a left foot strike into the top corner, his hat-trick was rounded off with a penalty.
Ryan MacBeth, who held the midfield well, scored along with Shaun Fraser.
Next up, as things stand, the 19s will host Dumbarton at Beith Juniors this coming Sunday (7th) with a 1.00pm kick-off
