80 mins: Buchanan manages to take the ball round Esson but the angle is too tight and he can't hit target.

78 mins: Great block from Tuffey at the feet of Sanchez.

77 mins: Tuffey does well to get dowbn and save from Rooney.

70 mins: Munro is booked for a foul on Chris Erskine and Thistle have a free kick 25 yards fronm goal. It's touched to Rowson but his shot is blocked.

67 minutes: Penalty Inverness. Hodge fouls Rooney. Rooney to take it and Tuffey saves. Inverness corner.

62 mins: There are no takers for an excellent Buchanan cross across the six yard box and Inverness clear the ball.

60 mins: Thistle corner as Corcoran goes to ground inside the box.

58 mins: Buchanan lifts a shot from a Conroy cross over the bar and onto the roof of the net.

55 mins: A second corner for Thistle in quick succession.

54 mins: Liam Buchanan gets the break of the ball inside the box but is denied a goal by an excellent Esson save.

51 mins: David Proctor comes forward and gets his head to a cross but there is no power in the header and it is an easy save for Tuffey this time.

49 mins: Thistle give the ball away in midfield and Sanchez tests Tuffey with a shot that he pushes round the post for a corner.

Inverness get things back underway.

It has been a decent first 45 minutes with little between the teams. Thistle have been working hard and playing some good football and with Chris Erskine striking the bar just after the Inverness eqialiser will feel a little disappointed not to be ahead.

HALF-TIME

40 mins: Thistle corner on the right. Conroy to take. It breaks to Chris Erskine who smacks a shot off the bar.

38 mins: GOAL INVERNESS. Hayes gets space inside the Thistle box and he shoots across Tuffey and into the net.

37 mins: A Bryan Hodge shot from 25 yards out isn't too far off target although Esson probably had it covered in any case.

31 mins: An Inverness corner. Hayes takes it but the referee spots a push and Thistle have a free kick.

30 mins: Thistle have been playing some good football but it is the work ethic that has really impressed thus far.

25 mins: Chris Erskine gets two chances of a shot at the edge of the Inverness box but gets both all wrong.

24 mins: A Corrigan cross is flicked on and when the ball breaks to Chris Erskine he is a little unlucky to see his shot blocked.

21 mins: Hayes goes down in the box and there are loud shouts for a penalty. Referee Somers thinks otherwise and books Hayes.

18 mins: Another effort from Corcoran this time a little further out and this time Esson gets down to save.

16 mins: GOAL THISTLE. Mark Corcoran turns and fires into the corner of the net from 20 yards out.

15 mins: It's been an open first 15 minutes with both sides a threat.

12 mins: Thistle win another corner. Conroy again to take it. Robertson this time with the flick on. It's cleared but Thistle continue to put Inverness under pressure and Buchanan sees a shot deflected for another corner.

11 mins: Inverness' turn for a corner but it is cleared.

10 mins: Thistle's first corner. Conroy's corner is flicked on by Ian Maxwell with Chris Erskine seeing a shot blocked. Promising from Thistle.

9 mins: Another near thing. Foran gets his head to a cross from the right but Tuffey pushes his header away. Corrigan is back on.

8 mins: Thistle are down to ten as Martyn Corrigan goes off for ttreatment.

6 mins: Inverness close to an opening goal. Hayes plays in Rooney but Jonny Tuffey spreads himself and is able to save with his out stretched leg.

0 mins: Ian Maxwell is skippering the Thistle team this afternoon. Thistle kick the game off and will be shooting towards the home end in the first 45 minutes.

PRE MATCH NEWS: The combination of injury, suspension and illness has limited the options open to manager Ian McCall for today's fixture with Inverness. Martyn Corrigan comes in for a rare start while Bryan Hodge returns to the heart of the Thistle midfield. New boy Martin Grehan takes up a place on the bench.

With the sun now gone we are in line for a cold cold afternoon. The pitch is perfectly playable but there is still plenty of snow on it. There can beb scarcely moren than a few hundred scattered around the ground at the moment with kick-off just under 30 minutes away.
