Thistle's Scottish Cup hopes ended in controversial fashion at Firhill this afternoon. Just one goal separated the teams for much of the match. United scoring in the 26th minute when the ball and appeared to have been propelled over the line by the hand of Damian Casalinuovo.
Thistle gave a really spirited display and created plenty of chances but couldn't convert them and a second United goal from David Goodwillie sealed the win.
It will, however, be Casalinuovo's goal that will dominate the after match talking points.
