 Corcoran Signs

Tuesday 28th July 2009

As you may have read in one of this morning's papers Thistle have concluded the signing of 28 year old Mark Corcoran (pictured today) from Hamilton Accies, the paperwork on that deal being completed just a short time ago.

After staring with Junior side Linlithgow Rose Mark gained his first taste of senior football when he joined Hamilton Accies in July 2003. In total Mark spent two seasons at New Douglas Park. In his first season with Accies he was a regular as Hamilton won promotion from the Second Division and was a regular again as Accies settled well into life in the First Division.

After 83 appearances and 7 goals for Hamilton Mark in the summer of 2005 left Hamilton to join St Mirren. In his first season at Love Street he again was part of a promotion winning squad as St Mirren won the First Division and earned a slot in the SPL.

After two seasons in the SPL and 95 appearances overall for St Mirren Mark returned to Hamilton in time for the start of last season and made a further 16 appearances for Hamilton as they comfortably survived relegation from the SPL.

The contract that Mark signed today will see him remain a Partick Thistle player until May 2011.
