A 51ST minute goal from Liam Buchanan was enough to see Thistle knock out holders Airdrie bUnited from the ALBA Challenge Cup.
Buchanan latched onto a through ball from David Rowson and coolly slotted the ball home (Liam 
pictured celebrating the goal in front of the Thistle fans).
Thistle had to withstand some pressure from Airdrie in the last quarter of the game with Lagana striking the outside of the post and sub Gemmill wasting a good chance.
