Paul McGrillen
Thursday 30th July 2009
All at Firhill were stunned to learn of the passing of former player Paul McGrillen.
Probably best remembered as a Motherwell and Falkirk player Paul spent one season, 2000-2001, here at Firhill and was part of the side that won the Second Division championship. Indeed it was Paul that came off the bench at Forfar to score the equalising goal in a 2-2 draw that clinched the title for Thistle.
In total Paul played 21 times for Thistle and scored 6 goals.
Paul also played with Airdrie, East Fife, Stirling Albion, Clydebank, Stenhousemuir and Stranraer before starring in the Junior ranks for several seasons.
Our deepest sympathies are extended to all Paul's family and friends at this dreadfully sad time.
