The 2009/2010 Season is fast approaching.....
Tuesday 21st July 2009
After an exciting 2008/2009 season we are all looking forward to the forthcoming coming season with anticipation. The club has made many positive moves over the summer months. Ian McCall has signed a new 3 year contract which is great news as a number of club’s were rumoured to be interested in luring him away. The Board regard Ian as crucial in our efforts to win promotion.
With that in mind Ian has brought in a few new faces with Bryan Hodge, Chris Erskine, Martyn Corrigan, Jim Hamilton and Patrick Boyle all joining the club. Stepping up after an impressive two years training as a YT player is Ricky Little and returning to us after a tremendous loan spell at Queens Park is Paul Cairney. It is unfortunate that both Gary Harkins and Marc Twaddle have left for pastures new but their departures have brought in much needed transfer cash and will generate competition for first team places. So, all in all the prospects for next season look very optimistic.
Two cup draws have already been made and our first home game is in the Co-Operative Cup against Berwick Rangers. After fantastic cup runs over the last couple of seasons we hope to go even better this season. For the game against Berwick and the first SFL match on August 15th against Ross County we are reducing the price of hospitality so you can have the chance to watch the game in style. Prices are only £45+VAT instead of the usual £85 per head so why not make it a day out and invite some friends to join you in what is always a first class experience.
