Partick Thistle Football Club

A few days on from the tragic news of the death of former Thistle player Gordon Lennon it is still hard to believe that the player, immensely popular wherever he played, is no longer with us. It speaks volumes for the type of person that Gordon was that the tributes paid to him focus as much on his personality as they do his prowess on the football pitch.

Thistle were already scheduled to face Dumbarton in a pre-season friendly on Tuesday July 14^th.

Following discussion between Dumbarton Football Club and Gordon's family it has been decided that there will be a collection at this game the proceeds of which will go to Gordon's dependents.

We know that the Thistle supporters will be more than generous with their donations.
