PLAYER VISIT
Tuesday 9th June 2009
Partick Thistle player Paul Paton took time out of his summer break to pay a visit to Albert Primary school in Springburn today.
Paul made a guest appearance at the schools careers day. He spent over two hours talking to groups of young children about the hard work and dedication involved in becoming a professional footballer. Not being able to resist Paul even took part in a trick workshop with the children.
Paul also took this chance to remind all children they get in free to Firhill next season.
Paul said “I remember being at school and wanting to be a footballer but no footballers came to my careers day so it’s good to be able to hopefully encourage young lads to stick in at it and help them realise working hard really does pay off.”
