Trip to the Seaside on Opening Day

The arrival of the fixture list for the forthcoming season always brings the start of a new season that bit closer.
Last season we finished the season in second spot behind champions St Johnstone and as we aim to go one better in season 2009/2010 we will start the league campaign with an away fixture on Saturday August 8th against newly promoted Ayr United.
Our first home game is the following week when we entertain Ross County.
Firhill's first ever fixture took place on September 18th 1909 and on the Saturday closest to that date, September 19th, we will celebrate Firhill's 100th birthday with a home fixture against Dunfermline Athletic.
It's set too to be a busy time at Firhill over Christmas and New Year with home fixtures both on Boxing Day (Queen of the South) and on January 2nd (Morton).
The season's finale comes on Saturday May 1st 2010 with a visit to Firhill from Queen of the South.
