It was an all too familiar story at Somerset Park this evening. Despite creating numerous chances, Thistle suffered their fifth successive away defeat by a solitary goal.
The game's winning goal arrived in the 34th minute scored by Steve Bowey.
In a match marked by a catalogue of missed chances Thistle's Jackie McNamara suffered what looked a serious injury just after the hour mark and, after a lengthy delay while he was treated on the pitch, left the field of play on a stretcher.
Early, and we emphasise early, indications are that the injury isn't as serious as first feared although such was the force of the collision that Jackie's shin guard was halved in two.
