Thistle's miserable run continued with a third straight defeat in a row. If anything this was the most painful. The game's winning goal, courtesy of a Jim McAlister strike, arriving in injury time.
Morton had the better of the first half but arguably the best chance came Thistle's way when Mark Corcoran shot was saved by the legs of Kevin Cuthbert.
In the second half Paul Cairney and Liam Buchanan both missed easy chances before McAlister's injury time winner.
