90 mins: Into injury time now

87 mins: Morton corner. Shimmin gets his head to it but it is a long way off target.

86 mins: Along throw finds Simmonds, via the head of John Robertson, but Simmonds header is over the bar. Game really opening up.

83 mins: Thistle's luck in front of goal continues. Great play sets up Liam Buchanan at the back post but he lifts his shot into the side netting.

82 mins: The combined efforts of Paul Paton and John Robertson deny Morton a clear look at goal.

78 mins: Last Thistle change. Steve Lovell comes on for Stephen McKeown.

76 mins: Allan Jenkins gets space outside the Thistle box but doesn't make proper contact with his shot and it goes wide without the need of a save from Jonny Tuffey.

73 mins: Second change for Thistle. Chris Erskine comes on for Mark Corcoran.

71 mins: Thistle make a change Martin Grehan comes on for Simon Donnelly.

60 mins: Thistle miss a glorious chance. Great play from Liam Buchanan takes him to the bye line. He crosses for Paul Cairney who with the goal wide open sends the ball wide.

58 mins: Steve Masterton picks up the game's first yellow card.

56 mins: A Simon Donnelly drive is deflected over the bar and Thistle have a corner. When the ball comes over the referee spots a push and play is halted.

51 mins: Masterton crosses from the right andf Simmonds gets his head to the ball. His header looks like dipping in only for Tuffey to touch it over the bar for a corner. From that corner Stephen McKeown knocks the ball against his own post.

46 mins: The teams have changed ends but in the early stages of the second half very little else has changed. Morton win a corner which Thistle clear. Only as far as Masterton though who sends his shot high over the bar and out the ground.

Back under way in the second half. No changes at the break.

The first half was Morton's but for all their pressure Jonny Tuffey hasn't had a direct save to make. Plenty of corners though which Thistle have been hard pressed to deal with.

The half finished on a positive note for Thistle and the hope is for a repeat of that for the whole second half.

HALF-TIME

41 mins: Thistle's best spell. Paul Cairney squares to Mark Corcoran whose shot is blocked by the legs of Cuthbert in the Morton goal.

40 mins: A Simon Donnelly effort is cleared from almost right on the Morton goal line.

38 mins: Some promise for Thistle. Paul Cairney delays a pass just a fraction too long which allows a defender to get across and block a Donnelly shot. Seconds later Mark Corcoran sends a dipping shot just over the bar.

32 mins: A run down the left from Kevin McKinlay produces, you've guessed it, a Morton corner. An excellent delivery from Tidser but the ball goes out for a goal kickbut not before hearts are in mouths again.

29 mins: Free header for McAlister inside the Thistle box. Thankfully he is stretching for the ball and can't quite direct his header on target.

27 mins: A long throw from Ian Maxwell earns Thistle a corner which Morton deal well with.

21 mins: McAlister knocks a dangerous ball into the Thistle box and win another corner which McKeown heads behind for another corner.

19 mins: A Morton corner on the left hand side. Tidser take itand Thistle clear but when Masterton knocked the ball on it was another anxious moment for the Thistle defence.

15 mins: Paul Paton plays in a good ball into the Morton box and is Thistle's turn for a corner. John Robertson flicks the ball on but no Thistle player is on hand to take advantage. A cry of "Liam" comes up from the Thistle bench. The Thistle gaffer clearly feeling that the striker should have been on hand to apply a finish.

14 mins: The Morton pressure increases and Simmonds earns his team another corner which is cleared for yet another Morton corner.

13 mins: That corner is cleared but when Morton return the ball to the box Simmonds gets his head to the ball but his header clears Tuffey's bar.

12 mins: Simmonds again poses a threat to the Thistle defence but Robertson is swiftly across although Morton do win a corner. Tuffey tips the corner away and Morton have another corner from the other side this time.

10 mins: Liam Buchanan has looked in the mood early on and his through ball just fails to reach Paul Cairney.

8 mins: Thistle again a little slack at the back and Masterton gets room inside the box but hooks his shot over the bar.

6 mins: Cuthbert misjudges a simple ball into the box and Thistle have a corner. Donnelly's effort though is easily dealt with.

4 mins: A great chance for Morton. Donovan Simmonds escapes the attention of the Thistle defence but when left with Tuffey to beat knocks his shot wide of goal.

0 mins: Thistle kick the game off and are shooting towards the traditional home end in the first half.

PRE-MATCH NEWS: It's almost  shirt sleeved weather in Greenock, yes Greenock, as Thistle play the third of four successive matches away from Firhill. Our record outside the confines of Firhill hasn't been great recently and in an attempt to reverse that recent trend Ian McCall has made a couple of changes to his side. Injury obviously keeps Jackie McNamara on the sidelines and that has resulted in a return to the side of Ian Maxwell as Thistle surely line-up in a 4-4-2 formation, Alan Archibald moving across to left back. There is also a return to the starting line-up, the first for some time, for Mark Corcoran who is drafted in at the expense of Chris Erskine who drops to the bench.
